NEW. NOW. NEXT. | Live & Upcoming Catalog Home Section
What happens when you combine live events with the other great content in your catalog, like product training and knowledge base content? You get a full-blown learning experience that’s designed to increase engagement, improve retention and drive revenue.

Clients have been hosting virtual events on the Intellum Platform for over a decade, and they continue to play a bigger role in the overall education strategy. So we’ve developed functionality that makes them even more impactful.
The new Live & Upcoming Catalog Home Section showcases events happening right now (or starting soon); and gives your audiences a seamless experience to join live sessions, then continue their learning journey with related on-demand content. Event cards display the session date and time, event title and, if assigned, the instructor’s name and photo. Learners can enroll in upcoming events or launch live sessions directly from the event card...without ever leaving the platform.

We like to think of it as the “Peloton of learning”.
Why It’s a Big Deal
Combining live and on-demand content creates a more vibrant, engaging experience...and a more vibrant, engaged community of learners. And engaged learners - those who are consuming content, interacting with other learners and retaining knowledge - lead to great results.

BONUS Big Deal: Org Switcher
The Org Switcher provides a simple, intuitive way to toggle between each of the organizations to which they have access. For instance, a learner can join your live annual user conference, then switch back to the full content catalog...without ever leaving the platform! Located behind a feature flag, remember to ask your Customer Success Manager about enabling Org Switcher for your audiences.

MAKE IT YOUR OWN | Homepage Section Display Options
We’ve heard from clients that while there are many ways they can customize the type of content that appears on their homepage, there aren’t many ways to customize the look of the content. You asked...we answered!

We started by changing the name of the content rows to Home Sections, and expanded the layout properties to give you more control over what your learners see on the homepage. You choose the layout that will be most meaningful to your audiences:
Do you want to display the section name and a description on the homepage?
How many pieces of content will be featured in the homepage, and how should they be listed? 4 across...3 across? Listed?
Which groups and users should be able to see the homepage section?
Maybe you want to add live video or images, share a slideshow or add graphics. It’s as simple as adding an Embedded HTML Section. Home Section properties guide you through set up, and you can add as many Embedded HTML sections as you need.

Think trending is just for social media? Think again. With Hot Content Sections, the Intellum Platform will automatically push your most popular content forward, and highlight trending content from the last week, month, quarter...or whatever timeframe you specify. Users can sort the content in a topic by Hot ranking; and admins can add an Activity Hot Rank column or filter to activity-related reports.

Why It’s a Big Deal
We get super excited when we can deliver client-requested features; especially when those features give you greater flexibility to customize your environment and really make it your own. More configurations and new design sections let you build within your brand guidelines to give your audiences a consistent visual experience and further distinguish yourself from the competition. And we think that’s a pretty big deal!

FRESHEN UP | User Profile Design
Q2 continues our efforts to deliver a cleaner, more streamlined experience for you and your users. We’ve updated the User Profile Design and the My Profile submenu options to a horizontal layout; and, for those users with access, the Edit Profile link is more prominently displayed in the top right of the My Profile page. The User Profile dropdown is also where admins will find the switcher to easily toggle between Admin and Learner views.

Speaking of Edit Profile, we’ve given this page a fresh look, too. The new design optimizes use of the space and makes it easier for users to find - and update - the information in their profile.
Why It’s a Big Deal
These changes align with recent platform and menu updates, and create a consistent experience for both admins and learners.
