While you are building with Evolve, you can make use of the Preview function in the top right corner. This presents us with clear view of the content we have created, free of any interface elements, as it will look when published.
Courses are given a left-hand progress menu by default, which shows progress through the course and lists the pages within it. This can be hidden or removed entirely within the course settings. To exit the preview, we use the button in the top right corner, which returns us to the page builder.
Evolve features a backup system, constantly saving your work to the cloud. If at any point you make a destructive change, such as deleting an item, Evolve automatically creates a course backup at that point. So, if you accidentally delete something you want to retrieve, like this heading, for instance, it's just a case of opening the backup list and finding a version before you made that change. Use the dots menu to select Preview first, and check that the version you are presented with includes the item that was just deleted. Once we exit the preview, we can restore this version from the same menu. We've successfully restored our course and you can see that our deleted item is now recovered.
Evolve has also made a backup of the course just before we restored it, in case you want to revert back at any point. There is also the option to manually create a backup whenever you choose, by selecting Create Backup from the plus menu. This is perfect for when you are about to make some extensive changes.
You can filter these backups to ones that you've created yourself, or those that were automatically created. Backups give you peace of mind that you won't lose any of your hard work.
